News sheet 8th June 2021
I do hope that you all enjoyed the half term holiday. It was good to feel the sunshine!
It is heartening to see that the number of cases of Covid and particularly those requiring hospitalisation remain low. However, I am very aware that we need to maintain our current precautions if this is to remain the case. In school, this means:
We have been very fortunate to have remained fully open since we reopened. This is because parents and staff have been vigilant about following the rules and taking necessary precautions. The responsible attitude of our community gives us the best chance of enabling all our children to attend school until the end of the school year.
We will continue to minimise the number of people on site which does unfortunately mean that our rearranged Sports Days will be for the children only.
Summer at school!
Now that the weather is finally starting to improve, please do remember to make sure that your child has a full water bottle every day; wears a hat (outside only!) and has sunscreen applied on exposed skin before coming to school.
If your child does not have a water bottle, we have a small supply in school. These can be purchased through our Scopay app, at a cost of £2.00 each.
A reminder that children may wear either old or new uniform as we go into the summer. Our new uniform for summer is as follows:
Grey shorts/ skirt / trousers
White polo shirt
Blue checked dress
PE uniform will consist of:
Navy blue shorts or joggers
White round neck t-shirt
Our new school tie is now available from the School Office. Ties are to be worn by all KS2 children from September and can be purchased via the Scopay app at a cost of £5.00 each.
Ties will be sent home with your children.
If you have any difficulty using Scopay, please contact the office.
The building works continue to run well. The electricity supply was rerouted into the new substation successfully over the half term break and we currently remain on track to move in during the October half term.
We are now working with Morgan Sindall to plan the first visit to site for the children next week. We know they be impressed with what they see inside!
